Very quick chocolate cake

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 g of dark chocolate
  • 250 g of butter
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 100 g of walnuts
  • 150 g of semi-coarse flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 baking powder
  • 4 tbs. of sugar
  • For the cream: 125 g of dark chocolate and 150 ml of whipping cream

METHOD

  1. First, melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave or over a double boiler. Be careful not to let the mixture start boiling; it’s important that both ingredients combine well. Then, remove the butter with chocolate. In a bowl, beat the eggs with sugar and gradually add chopped (or ground) walnuts, flour, and finally baking powder. Mix with an electric mixer and then add the melted chocolate with butter.
  2. Prepare a round cake pan, grease it with a little butter. Pour the batter into the pan and bake in a preheated oven (at 160 degrees Celsius) for about 45 minutes. Let the baked cake cool.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare a simple chocolate cream. Gradually heat the cream, but do not boil it, otherwise, it won’t thicken. When warm, remove it from the heat and add chocolate, letting it melt. Let the mixture cool while stirring occasionally, and then you can whip it with a mixer if necessary. Pour the cream onto the cooled cake and decorate with whipped cream, fruit, or chopped almonds according to taste. Let it set in the refrigerator (about 1 hour) and serve.
