Ham and Cheese Egg Nests: Quick and Tasty Breakfast

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 eggs
  • 150 g ham
  • 50 g Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, ground black pepper to taste

METHOD

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  2. Crack the eggs, separate the yolks from the whites, and whip the whites into stiff peaks.
  3. Fold the diced ham and grated Parmesan into the whipped egg whites, and season the mixture with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  4. Spoon the seasoned egg white mixture into four mounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and use a spoon to create a well in the center of each.
  5. Bake the egg nests at 200°C (392°F) for 5 minutes, then place an egg yolk into each well and bake for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve the egg nests with fresh bread or toast.
