Ham and Cheese Egg Nests: Quick and Tasty Breakfast
INGREDIENTS
- 4 eggs
- 150 g ham
- 50 g Parmesan cheese
- Salt, ground black pepper to taste
METHOD
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
- Crack the eggs, separate the yolks from the whites, and whip the whites into stiff peaks.
- Fold the diced ham and grated Parmesan into the whipped egg whites, and season the mixture with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
- Spoon the seasoned egg white mixture into four mounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and use a spoon to create a well in the center of each.
- Bake the egg nests at 200°C (392°F) for 5 minutes, then place an egg yolk into each well and bake for another 5 minutes.
- Serve the egg nests with fresh bread or toast.
