Chickpea soup
INGREDIENTS
- three garlic cloves
- carrot
- onion
- ground paprika
- oil
- 500 g of dry chickpeas
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- salt
- bay
- leaf
METHOD
- Soak the chickpeas in water with a teaspoon of baking soda the day before you plan to use them.
- The next day, drain the chickpeas. Chop the carrot into pieces.
- Then, sauté the chopped onion and garlic in oil. Add the chickpeas and carrot, and cover with water. Add a bay leaf and cover the pot.
- Simmer on low heat for two hours. Season with salt, ground paprika, and other spices to taste.
